Gaming Management

LAE works to ensure that the games of luck and chance and the picks of their participants are carried out within a Responsible Gaming Framework, in accordance with the principles defined by the World Lottery Association (WLA) and the European State Lotteries and Toto Association (AELTE), especially with regard to vulnerable groups.

The Responsible Gaming Framework or, simply Gaming Management, refers to the set of lottery and gaming rules that are established in order to ensure that the games are safe for the public (in a broad sense) and compatible with its general interest groups.

LAE promotes a moderate and responsible gaming framework, whether it is nationally or in collaboration with other countries, through management that is aimed at satisfying the primary interest groups and allocating its profits to society through the General State Budgets or other alternatives of general interest.

Therefore, LAE has key values that define the activity of Loterías y Apuestas del Estado, as the entity responsible for managing the country's games. Some of the principles that LAE offers and that are also requested by its interest groups, which guarantee responsible gaming management, are as follows:

Responsibility: to create, offer, manage and operate games within a Moderate and Responsible Gaming Framework, either nationally or internationally, in collaboration with other countries.

Transparency, integrity and security: in the management of the revenue, prizes and all the activities that are carried out, in order to maintain and enhance the trust that society places in the publicly-owned games.

Rigour: in the management and control of its operational activity with the highest effectiveness and efficiency, and in the fight against all fraudulent practices.

Commitment: to all its interest groups, both the State and the different States with which it collaborates, as well as to the citizens that participate in the offered games, the beneficiaries, employees, the sales network, suppliers and society in general.

Participant-oriented: considering that their satisfaction is key, dedicating effort towards meeting their needs more effectively and anticipating these needs through innovative products, services and sales channels, and directing the focus of attention from the product to the participants' needs.
