Trusted certificates and certification authorities

The Royal Spanish Mint (FNMT, Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre) is the entity which issues the Digital Certificates used on the LAE website, which is why it is necessary to install this certificate as the trusted certification authority


 

STEP 1


 

To proceed, click on the following link to save the file with the FNMT certificate in a local directory on your computer (by default, this certificate is named "FNMTClase2CA.cer").

 

https://www.sede.fnmt.gob.es/descargas/certificados-raiz-de-la-fnmt Once downloaded, you need to install it on your web browser. Here are the necessary steps to follow according to which web browser you are using:

Internet Explorer


 

  • Main menu -> Tools -> Internet options
  • In the window that opens, search for the 'Content' tab -> 'Certificates' button
  • Another window will open: search for the tab "Trusted root authorities" -> "Import" button. The certificate import wizard then opens -> Next
  • Selects the file that you downloaded to your hard disc during the first step of this help process (If you left the default name, the file will be called "FNMTClase2CA.cer").
  • Click on "Open" -> Next ->Next -> Finish -> "Yes" to the question regarding whether to install the certificate.
  • Lastly, close all of the brower's windows and then re-open www.loteriasyapuestas.es


 

Mozilla Firefox


 

  • Main menu -> Tools -> Options.
  • In the window that opens, search for the 'Advanced' tab -> go to the 'Encrypted' tab -> click on 'View certificates'. 
  • Another window then opens: search for the 'Authorities' tab -> 'Import' button.
  • Select the file that you downloaded to your hard disc during the first step of this help process (If you left the default name, the file will be called "FNMTClase2CA.cer").
  • Click on "Open" -> Tick "Trust this CA to identify web sites" -> Accept.
  • Lastly, close all of the brower's windows and then re-open www.loteriasyapuestas.es


 

Mozilla and Netscape


 

  • Main menu -> Edit -> Preferences.
  • In the window that opens, search for the "Privacy and security" tab -> 'Certificates'-> "Manage certificates".
  • Another window then opens: search for the 'Authorities' tab -> 'Import' button.
  • Select the file you downloaded to your computer during the first step of this help process (If you left the default name, the file will be called "FNMTClase2CA.cer", and import the certificate.
  • Lastly, close all of the brower's windows and then re-open www.loteriasyapuestas.es


 

Opera


 

  • Main menu -> File -> Options.
  • In the window that opens, search for the "Networks" tab -> "Security".
  • Click on 'Manage certificates' -> this will open the certificate management window.
  • 'Authorities' tab -> 'Import'.
  • Import the certificate and, if need be, tick the 'Allow connection to sites that use this certificate' and click 'Accept'.
  • Lastly, close all of the brower's windows and then re-open www.loteriasyapuestas.es


 

Safari


 

  • In Safari, go to the "Edit" section-> "Preferences".
  • In the 'Advanced' tab, click on "Change settings".
  • A new window will open: select the 'Contents' tab -> click on 'Certificates'.
  • In the new Certificates window, search for the 'Trusted Root Authority' tab -> click on "Import".
  • This brings up the certificate import wizard. Click on "Next" -> "Browse"
  • Select the file you downloaded on this computer during the first step of the help process (If you saved the default name, the file will be called "FNMTClase2CA").
  • Click on "Open" > "Next" ->Select "Place all certificates in the following store" (this will bring up the name of the store "Trusted Root Authority' we selected at the start)
  • Click on "Next" -> "Finish",
  • Your certificate is now installed. Close all browser windows and go to www.loteriasyapuestas.es

Google Chrome


 

  • Google Chrome Options -> Advanced -> Security -> Manage Certificates.
  • "Certificates" will open in a new window; look for the "Signed by a trusted root authority"-> click on "Import".
  • The following message will be displayed "This is the certificate import wizard ", click "next" to display "Import file", then click "Browse"
  • Select the file you downloaded to your hard disc during the first step of the help process (If you saved the name by default, the file will be called "FNMTClase2CA").
  • Click on "Open" -> Click on "Next" -> Select the option "Place all certificates in the following store" ("Signed by a trusted root authority", which you selected at the start, will appear as selected ).
  • Click on "Next"- > Click "Finish"
  • Certificate successfully installed. Close all of the windows on your browser and go to www.loteriasyapuestas.es  


 

The procedure is the same on any other browser:


 

  • Access the certificate store on the web browser.
  • Import the FNMT certificate.
  • Allow connections to websites that use this certificate in the imported certificate options.
  • Close all the windows of the web browser and go back to www.loteriasyapuestas.es).
     

    The only differences are the name given to the browser options to carry out these actions and the number of steps to follow .
