Loterías y Apuestas del Estado has funded the study “Gambling Prevalence Study in Spain 2013”. Professor Francisco Labrador Encinas, Chair of Behavior Modification at the Complutense University of Madrid, was responsible for leading the research team composed of E. Becoña, M. Crespo, E. Echeburua, and M. Labrador, who carried out the aforementioned study. The survey covered the entire national territory, targeting residents in Spain of both sexes aged between 18 and 81. A total of 3,000 face-to-face street interviews were conducted using a semi-structured questionnaire designed specifically for this purpose.
