Acertantes: Winners It is the total number of vouchers that have been awarded with a prize for each of the prize categories of a draw or a sport event.

Associated point of sale: This is the point of sale of our face-to-face network with which bets placed on the online channel are associated. It is necessary to have an associated point of sale to be able to play Lotería Nacional through our website and/or official apps.

Authenticate: Process with which a player accesses the private part of our website to be able to place bets or collect prizes. It consists of the insertion of the ID number and the password or the email and the password.

Block: It is each of the sections of a ticket where a bet is placed. It has grids or tables.

Basic sales point: Lottery Administration.

Business network of Loterías del Estado: It is the group of sales point that commercialise these games. It is composed of the basic network, the mixed network and the online channel.

Bet: It is the action of being part of a contest for which a person participates in a specific draw or sport event.

There are different types of bets depending on the placed forecast:

• Simple bet: The one that has only one forecast with the same amount of numbers than the winning combination. 
• Multiple bet: A bet that forecasts more numbers than the winning combination ones, having therefore more chances of winning. It can be broken down in simple bets. 
• Reduced bet: It is a modality of exclusive betting of La Quiniela, in which you can only participate with some of the bets carried out when marking different combinations of doubles and triples.
• Conditioned bet: It is a modality of exclusive betting of La Quiniela, in which different multiple combinations are forecast and conditions defined previously apply to know with which combinations you can participate.

There are different types of draws depending on the weekly draws in which you participate:

• Weekly bet: In the games that have more than a weekly draw, it is possible to obtain a unique voucher that participates in all or part of the weekly draws. (From the immediately following until the last one of the week). This modality is available only for the Lotos, except for Lototurf.
• Daily bet: It is the bet that only participates in one draw or sport event.

Bonoloto: Game of the Lotos family of Loterías y Apuestas del Estado. Each block is made up of a single grid in which the predictions are made. Currently there is a daily draw.

Complementary:  It is the number that accompanies the main winning combination of that draw, which has to match in order to win the prize of any of the draw categories. It is drawn in the La Primitiva and Bonoloto draws.

Control Superior Board: Internal body of Loterías that is responsible of the proper course and management of each draw.

Collection: Total amount received by Loterías corresponding to the participants' bets in a draw or sport event.

DGOJ (Dirección General de Ordenación del Juego):  It is the state body in charge of regulating and supervising the proper functioning of gambling in Spain. Its official website is https://www.ordenacionjuego.es/.

Direct prize: These are the prizes assigned to a ticket that are collected in full in a single payment. In general, they are those assigned in all Loterías y Apuestas del Estado games except for the 1st and 2nd categories of EuroDreams.

Deferred prize: These are awards assigned to a slip that are normally paid in instalments. In general, they are those assigned to the 1st and 2nd category of EuroDreams.

Distribution: Distribution that is carried out after each draw or sport event of the amounts destined to the payment of prizes among the winning bets of each category, along with the regulation of each game. 

Draw: It is the event through which on a random way the winning combination is obtained for a specific date of one of the Lottos or Lotería Nacional games of Loterías. Each draw of a game has a unique identification number that will start with the natural year.

• Extraordinary Draw: It is a type of draw that, because of its special characteristics in the way of being held, in the distribution of the prizes it has or in any other characteristic, it is not considered ordinary. It is specially used in Lotería Nacional.
• Traditional Draw: A type of Lotería Nacional draw that has special characteristics that are maintained along the years. 

 Dreams: At EuroDreams, dreams are the numbers that make up the second grid of each betting block and therefore also dreams are part of the winning combination.

 E

Euromillones: A game from Lotos family of Loterías y Apuestas del Estado that is played in conjunction with several European countries. Each block is made up of two grids in which the predictions are made. Currently one draw is held on Tuesdays and another on Fridays.

EuroDreams: A game from Lotos family of Loterías y Apuestas del Estado that is played in conjunction with several European countries. Each block is made up of two grids in which the predictions are made. Currently one draw is held on Mondays and another on Thursdays.

Ending: it corresponds to the final digits of the numbers participating in the Lotería Nacional draws and that usually interfere in the prize assignation.

• Ending of one digit: Unity digit in the Lotería Nacional tenth shares.
• Ending of two digit: Two last digits in the Lotería Nacional tenth shares.
• Ending of three digits: Three last digits in the Lotería Nacional tenth shares.

Event: It corresponds to the period of time during which the sport events are held (football matches or horse races) on which the La Quiniela, Quinigol or Quíntuple Plus forecasts are carried out. Each game has an event number, that is correlative during the yearly season. In Quiniela and Quinigol it starts in August, as it corresponds with the start of the Spanish League (Liga) and in the case of Quíntuple Plus it starts in January, with the start of the year.

Favourites: In the games website, this is how the bets of any game except for Lotería Nacional are named, that the users name and save to take further actions on them. 

FNMT (Fábrica Nacional de la Moneda y Timbre): It is the State organisation in charge of printing the official lists of prizes, as well as the Lotería Nacional tenth shares.

Favourite tenth shares: This is how the Lotería Nacional bets that are assigned as favourites, when a name is given to them and they are saved to be able to take further actions on them, are called. 

Fraction: is the identification number of each of the tenth shares that compose a ticket of Lotería Nacional and that distinguishes it from the rest of tenth shares of the same series.

Fiscal region: It corresponds to the region where each registered participant taxes in Spain. It is a mandatory data of the registration process, given that prizes higher than 2,500 € are subject to taxes. 

Forecast: It is the prediction that is carried out by the person placing the bet in his/her bet on the number that compose the winning combination of a draw or the results of a sport event.

• Double Forecast: In La Quiniela this is how the ticket of a sport event that is filled with two forecasts instead of a unique one is called. 
• M Forecast: In Quinigol and La Quiniela (pleno al 15 forecast) it is the value that indicates that, in the result of a sport event, one of the teams has scored more than 2 goals.
• Triple Forecast: In La Quiniela this is how the ticket of a sport event that is filled with three forecasts instead of a unique one is called. 
• X Forecast: In La Quiniela it is the value that indicated that, in the result of one of the 14 first sport events, the final result has been even. 
• 1 Forecast: In La Quiniela it is the value that indicated that, in the result of one of the 14 first sport events, the team that plays as local has won. 
• 2 Forecast: In La Quiniela it is the value that indicated that, in the result of one of the 14 first sport events, the team that plays as visitor has won.

Gaming account: We call gaming account to the account that is opened in Loterías del Estado by a user who registers in its web. It is made up of personal details, personalised options, bets and subscriptions made, balance uploading and downloading movements and prizes won.

Gordo de la Primitiva (The): Game of the family of Lottos of Loterías y Apuestas del Estado. Each block is composed of two grids in which the forecasts are carried out. Currently there is a weekly draw on Sundays.

Game contract: contract that must be accepted by a user registered on the Loterías website and that obliges the user and Loterías to comply a series of minimum guarantees in order for the game to be carried out in a responsible and adequate way between both parties.

Grid/table: It is each of the parts of a ticket’s grid. It corresponds to a net of numbers where the forecasts are carried out, that compose the bets by marking some of them.

Home: Main page of a website and generally corresponds to the arrival of a visitor. In the case of the Loterías website it is  www.loteriasyapuestas.es.

Hits:  It corresponds to the numbers or forecasts of a voucher that match the winning combination of a draw or a sport event. 

Horse-race bet: It is the bet related with horse races. In Loterías we have one horse-race bet game: Quíntuple Plus. Additionally, Lototurf also has features of this type of bets.

Identity verification: it is the process through which the data that has been provided by a user that is trying to register on the website of Loterías is checked to see if they are real and correspond to his/her ID Card.

Jackpot (estimated): The pool of money with the estimated amount of prize money allocated to a particular draw or game day. It is made up of the Jackpot Fund from previous draws/days with no winners for that game, plus an amount of the percentage of the estimated prize pool for that draw or day. (It is estimated because the prize pool is not known until the close of the sale of that draw, whereas the jackpot is promoted throughout the sale period).

Joker (El): Optional game associated with La Primitiva in which one participates with a random number in an additional draw to the traditional one of this game and which consists of matching numbers and position of a winning 7-digit number.

Key number: It is the number that accompanies the main winning combination of a draw, which has to match in order to win the prize of any of the draw categories. It is drawn in the El Gordo draws.

LAE: Older name of Loterías y Apuestas del Estado.

Lottery administration: It is the name given to the sales points of Loterías that exclusively sell our products, and they are differentiated from the mixed sales point that also sell other kind of products (hostelry, drug store, etc), not only of games of chance of Loterías del Estado.

Lotería Nacional: Loterías y Apuestas del Estado's lottery game in which you participate by purchasing a certain number of tenth-share tickets (real or virtual) of previously distributed numbers. Currently, two draws are held weekly, on Thursdays and Saturdays. Exceptionally, the Saturday draws can be replaced by Special or Extraordinary draws to be held on any other day of the week, as happens annually with the Sorteo Extraordinario de Navidad, on 22 December, or the Sorteo Extraordinario de El Niño, on 6 January.

Lotobolsa: This is the electronic wallet of the Loterías website, which is necessary to place bets. Each user deposits the money here before placing bets and also receives the corresponding prizes. It is possible to upload or download any operation to your bank account without any kind of commission.

Lototurf: Game of the family of Lottos of Loterías y Apuestas del Estado. Each block is composed of two grids in which the forecasts are carried out. Given the fact that the second grid corresponds with the hit of the winner horse of a horse-race, on a weekly basis there are as many draws as horse-race events.

Millón (El): A game associated with Euromillones in which a set of codes is used to participate in a draw in addition to the traditional draw of this game and in which there is always a winner, who receives a prize of one million euros. Only tickets purchased in Spain take part in this draw. The draw takes place every Tuesday and every Friday.

Mutual bet: Those in which a percentage of the bet amounts by different players is share among the winners proportionally to the amount bet. The bets that we commercialize in Loterías del Estado are mutual (La Quiniela, Quinigol and Quíntuple Plus).

Mixed sales point: Name given in Loterás to sales points that are not administrations and therefore they do not commercialise the traditional tenth share of Lotería Nacional.

Number or repetitions of the subscriptions or purchasing requests: it corresponds to the number of times a bet purchase is carried out (in the case of subscriptions) or will try to be carried out (in the case of purchasing requests). A weekly attempt will be carried out for the Lotto games and one attempt for each sport event.

Non-broken number: In Lotería Nacional, this is how the tenth share that has the digit corresponding to the hundredths different from zero is called.

Official prize list: This is the document in which all the Lotería Nacional numbers that have won a prize in a draw are published. It is the only valid document to establish that a specific tenth-share ticket has been awarded a prize and the amount allocated.

ONLAE: Older name of Loterías y Apuestas del Estado.

Participations: These are fractions of a concrete bet or concrete tenth share, for which it is possible to bet a lower amount than the price of the minimum bet of each game.

Purchasing request: a purchasing request is a subscription to Lotería Nacional, with the only difference with these that, in the case of the first, they can be carried out for a specific draw. (In Lotería Nacional, given the characteristics of the game in which for each draw a different number of series and tickets are issued and where the tenth share purchased by a participant cannot be purchased by another person, it is not possible to guarantee the purchase on 100% the purchase of tenth shares with specific characteristics). 

Prize categories: Each of the possible prizes a voucher can be awarded with and that depend on the number of hits with the result of the draw it contains.

Pleno al 15: In La Quiniela, it corresponds to the sport event forecast of the ticket's position 15. It is differentiated from the rest of the forecasts because it corresponds to the result of the event on the board instead of the usual 1 X 2 forecast.

Palindromic number: In Lotería Nacional, it corresponds to the tenth share that has symmetric digits, read from left to right and from right to left.

Prize: It is the economic value in € that is assigned to a voucher that results from adding all the hits in the different categories of a draw or sport event and after the distribution among all the winners.

Primitiva (The): Game of the Lotos family of Loterías y Apuestas del Estado. Each block is made up of a single grid in which the predictions are made. Drawings are currently held on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays..

Pot (estimated): It is a money bag with the amount assigned for prizes to a specific draw or event. It is composed of the Pot fund and an estimated amount of the pot's percentage for that draw. (It is estimated because the collection is unknown until the closure of the sales of that draw).

Quiniela (The): Game of the family of Sport events of Loterías y Apuestas del Estado. Each block is composed of fifteen grids in which are carried out the forecasts about sport events. There is at least one event each week.

Quinielistas: Users that play La Quiniela.

Quick transfer: This is the operation of loading the balance immediately in time by means of a bank transfer from a bank account held by the user in one of the banks associated with Loterías.

Quinigol (The): Game of the family of Sport events of Loterías y Apuestas del Estado. Each block is composed of six grids in which are carried out the forecasts about football events. There is at least one event each week.

Quíntuple Plus: Game of the family of Sport events of Loterías y Apuestas del Estado. Each block is composed of six grids in which are carried out the forecasts about turf events. There is at least one event each week.

Rain of millions: a promotion associated with Euromillones that takes place exceptionally, in which several prizes are put into play in addition to the usual ones and in which participation is through codes integrated in the slip.

Refund: It is the number that accompanies the main winning combination of a draw, which has to match in order to win the prize of any of the draw categories. It is drawn in the La Primitiva, Bonoloto, El Gordo and Lototurf draws.

Random number: It is a number drawn randomly of among a given group.

Results: It corresponds to the information from which the winners of a draw or sport event will be established. In the case of Lottos and Lotería Nacional, it is the winning combination of the draw.. In the case of sport bets, it corresponds to the final scores of the football matches or to the winning horses of a sport event.

RGIAJ (Registro General de Interdicción de Acceso al Juego): It corresponds to a registry managed by the DGOJ of people that, for some reason, are not allowed to access the online game. It is mandatory that Loterías does not allow the game nor the prize collection to any of the people that appears in this registry. 

RPVOJ (Registro Participantes Vinculados al Operador del Juego): It corresponds to a registry managed by SELAE of people that, because of their special link to Loterías, are not allowed to access the online game. It is mandatory that Loterías does not allow the game nor the prize collection to any of the people that appears in this registry. 

Received bets: It is the total amount of bets that participate in a draw. It is obtained when the sales are closed and the prizes to distribute depend totally on that number. 

Receptor code: it the unique 5 digit number that identifies univocally a sales point of Loterías del Estado, being an administration or a mixed sales point.

Responsible Game: It is the group of action rules that Loterías establishes in order to guarantee that the games are safe for the public (in a large sense) and compatible with their interest groups in general, with a special attention to the most susceptible groups.

SELAE: Official name of Loterías y Apuestas del Estado. It corresponds to Sociedad Estatal Loterías y Apuestas del Estado.

Series: each of the successions of tickets of Lotería Nacional that participates in a draw are called series.

Sport bet: The bets related with sport events are called like this. In Loterías we have two games of sport bet (mutual bets): La Quiniela and Quinigol.

Subscription: This is the request made by a player on the website so that, without any further action on his part, and as long as he has a balance in his lotobolsa, Loterías buys a bet on his behalf with certain characteristics and until there is no longer sufficient balance in the Lotobolsa for the bet to be bought.

Scrutiny: Process with which the bets placed on a draw or a sport event are compared with the winning numbers of each draw or sport event results, in order to know the winning bets in each prize category.

Stars: In Euromillones, these are the numbers that compose the second grid of each block of bets and therefore also the stars are part of the winning combination.

Turf. English word that defines the horse-races where bets can be placed.

Ticket: a set of 10 tenth-share tickets for the same Lotería Nacional number belonging to the same series.

Tickets: In the face-to-face sales points, the forms that are filled manually by the players with the forecasts that compose the bets that participate in the games. In the case of Internet, by extension, we call tickets the group of blocks that can be composed and bought in one time when placing the bets.

Tenth shares: It is the traditional form of the Lotería Nacional game with which the participation in the game is certified and which is commercialised in the Loterías administrations. In the case of internet, by extension, the minimum bet of that game that can be acquired on the website is called online tenth share.

Variant: In La Quiniela, it is a forecast on a sport event result of the 14 first of the ticket, in which the team that plays as local has not won.

Valued bets: The valued bets are those that obtain a different prize depending on the moment they were bought, which is known when acquiring the voucher, and is different from the mutual bets (like the Loterías del Estado ones) in which the prize of each category depends on the final total collection for that draw or sport event and therefore is unknown until the closure of the sale of that draw or event. Generally, it is used for sport bets but it does not apply only to these.

Winners: It is the total number of vouchers that have been awarded with a prize for each of the prize categories of a draw or a sport event.

Winner horse for Lototurf: The winner horse is the one that appears as the first to cross the finish line in the corresponding race, generally being the winner horse of the 4th race of the Turf event.

Winner horses in Quíntuple Plus: The list of horses that compose the winning result of the event is named like that, that is to say, the ones that end the first 5 races in the first position and the 2nd qualified of the 5th race of the Turf event.

Winning combination: Group of numbers drawn randomly in the draw, that is used as a basis to assign its prizes.
